Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress, known for parts in the film Hum Aapke Koun. The actress began her career acting during the 80s. The actress became popular for Tezaab, a film starring the veteran actor Anil Kooor. She next appeared in the movie Dil in which she was on screen alongside Aamir Khan. Early on, as a teenager in Mumbai's middle-class, she began to learn how to dance. She began acting when she was an infant and was struggling for several years because most of her initial film projects were unsuccessful. She eventually became one of the top actresses from Indian films. Following her marriage the actress took time to rest from her acting career until she returned. Recently, she played an important part on the film Gulaab Gang. The film focused on the struggles of women in India. Dixit has been nominated for 15 Filmfare Awards, out of which she took home eight. Padma Shri is the fourth highest civilian honour in India. In addition, she has been recognized for her efforts in the social sector.
