MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music has seen major global advancements into Latin popular music scene. His 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu was the winner of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for Most Popular Song in 2017. The year 2017 saw the release of ADN which was his debut long-player for La Industria Inc. in Medellin. The album climbed to number 8 within the Top Latin Albums Chart. Vaina Loca was one of the Top Five hit for Ozuna and him in the following year. In 2020, he dropped the album that charted Dopamina as well as co-produced Mala Influencia together with Noriel. He appeared in 2021 in a duet with TINI for her online single Maldita Foto. The year 2023 was when the hit song La Bachata was released. Turizo was born into the musical home of his family. Both his father and brother are both musicians. According to him, musicality was an integral element of his existence. As a child, he was taught how to play the piano, saxophone as well as guitar. His first career choice was to become a vet But his older brother Julian convinced him to study how to sing under a Cuban instructor. The result was finding out that he was blessed with an aptitude for singing, changed his path in life.
